Preparation Built Around the Current SAT & ACT Formats

The SAT is digital and uses two adaptive modules in Reading & Writing and two adaptive modules in Math. The current ACT has required English, Math and Reading sections, while Science and Writing are optional. Our preparation is organized around the version of the test the student is actually taking.

Diagnostic First

Identify content gaps, timing problems and recurring error patterns before building the study plan.

Targeted Practice

Combine focused skill practice with current-format questions and official practice resources where appropriate.

Progress Review

Use practice results to adjust priorities, pacing and the amount of review needed before test day.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the SAT still digital?

Yes. The SAT is administered digitally through College Board’s Bluebook testing application and contains Reading & Writing and Math sections.

How is the digital SAT structured?

Reading & Writing and Math are each divided into two modules. The second module adapts based on performance in the first module.

Is ACT Science still required?

No. On the current ACT, English, Math and Reading are required, while Science is an optional add-on. Writing is also optional.

Which test should I take, SAT or ACT?

The best choice depends on the student’s strengths, preferred testing style, target schools and practice results. A diagnostic comparison can help guide the decision.

Do you tutor students in Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton and Mississauga?

Yes. Excel Elite serves students across all four communities, with online tutoring available throughout Ontario.

Do you provide practice tests?

Preparation can include official practice resources and current-format practice where appropriate, followed by review of timing, reasoning and recurring errors.
